Just wondering, what’s the deal for Sunday? I just noticed the tickets going on sale are for the 2-day pass. What’s going on in Virginia City? Thanks.
On Sunday, we’re going to rent a bus and go up to Virginia City. There will be music, of course! The size and scale of that event will depend entirely on how many people book the bus! If you *can* stay Sunday, we recommend it, because even if you don’t take the bus to VC, checking out at 11am Sunday morning when the party ended at 7am is gonna hurt.

Hey Jason! Glad to hear you’re coming. The main events (all of the bands listed on the webpage) are Friday & Saturday, in Reno, and the 2-day pass gets you into all of that. Sunday will be separate, and more details will be announced soon. Check out my reply to Rob too.

The bus is leaving at 2 on Sunday (according to the fb event). What time does it return?
We’ll have the bus for five hours total, so we should be back by 7pm / 7:30 at latest
SO, we’re driving up from SF. So instead of getting a ticket for a bus to go back and forth, it might be more practical for us to leave directly from Virginia City. Do we still have to buy bus tickets?
There is no obligation to buy bus tickets, but definitely let us know how many people are coming by car (and definitely pick a designated driver because they’ll surely be hunting people for DUIs)

We dunno! The response has been nutso, so get yours tonight! The venue’s pretty large so it should be OK but then again, the Funtastic in Spain sells out in minutes and their venue’s a bit bigger…
What’s the limit on the number of tickets you can purchase? Buying for me and a couple friends driving in from SPOKANE, WA! Also, what’s the capacity of Jub Jub’s? Can’t wait for this AWESOME show!

If it’s only all ages on Saturday the 14th noon-7 pm will you be selling 1 day tickets? I’m planning on buying the 2 day fest pass for myself and my husband, but my 12 year old wants to go to what he can and he’s really hoping to see the Spits.

Saturday daytime is all ages and we’ll sell tickets at the ‘door’! There will be some great bands for him

No, sorry! But you can come to Saturday’s day show / record fair! You just won’t be able to get into the night gig unless you have a 2-day pass. Hope you can arrange things to get Friday off!

Not sure I understand the issue — you should be able to book & pay for 3 hotel nights, others are doing so — just choose 3 from the dropdown next to the room type you’re after (king or double-queen). We are coming from Australia & intend on being there for fri & sat but just want to check if you know what day/time Reigning Sound are playing as yet?
Hi Carrie, the full schedule will be released closer to the date. All of the bands on the website & poster will play on 13 & 14 April! The gig starts at 8pm on Friday the 13th, and on the 14th, there is a daytime gig starting at noon and then a nighttime gig from 8pm until the morning.
On Sunday we have Haunted George playing up in Virginia City. The bus will leave the Sands around 2pm and return around 7/8pm
There will also be a late gig Sunday night in a bar in Reno for the diehards.

I’m a little confused by the room booking. I only chose 1 for the king room. Should I have chosen 3 if I need 3 nights? Is it okay to just choose 2 more and enter the same dates? Or can I get a refund from that and book through the Sands site? Sorry for the trouble.

If I’m only available to go on Sunday (because I have to go to a stupid wedding) and will be driving myself to Virginia City is there a way to pay up front/get a ticket just for that event?
You can certainly drive yourself up. We won’t do presale tickets. People on the buses have the first opportunity to buy a ticket for the event in Virginia City. There are 250 of them so far, and the capacity of our venue is 350, so you may consider getting a bus ticket, driving yourself to the Sands, and leave the driving to us. That way you can get good & sloshed up in V.C., which it sounds like you’re going to be more ready for than the rest of us if you’re not going to be around on Fri+Sat
Thanks so much for the response! I’m planning on staying in V.C. that night so that’s my reasoning for driving. It also means the sloshing can happen regardless. Still worth getting a bus ticket I won’t use just to call dibs on a spot at the show?
